1 Corinthians 7:25-40

in this passage paul gives instruction to virgins. He doesn't give a command directly from God but he is using his wisdom here to give the best advice he can. In the end since it was in the Bible it turns out that Pauls wisdom turned out to be God's wisdom. The wisdom was that it is better to be single than married because a married person can't devote them self as fully to God's work. If someone does have passions and decides to marry it's not sinful. Both are good, just one is better than the other. I'd imagine that most people of the day had passions and ended up married. My experience is similar. It's much easier to serve the Lord single than married. While people are in their singleness they should do their best to freely serve God. what a great opportunity to focus on God. IF people's passions are to strong they should get married young. It's kind of an interesting conversation to have with the people. I wonder how the readers responded to it. To love God and to be able to serve him fully is a wonderful thing.
