1 Corinthians 4:14-21

In this passage paul finishes his rebuke and reminds them its not for shame but for warning. shame probably would've been good as well, but paul is interested in their growth. he takes it upon himself to treat them as a father not just another spiritual leader. He was not able to go and visit them at the time so he sent timothy instead. they are constantly on his mind. and just like children they are arrogant when the parents are away. he really wants them to get their act together. this kind of makes me wonder how paul would write a letter to our church. would he be rebuking like this or would he be gentle and kind or whatever else way. kind of scary to think about. hopefully our church will get a wake up call and stand up as well. people think they can get away with so much when nobody is watching but judgement does come.
