1 Corinthians 9:11-18
Paul continues in his instruction and rebuke of the corinthians. Here he talks more about how the worker deserves his wages. the priests got their pay from working at the temple so the same should be true of paul. Paul explains this to them for reference for future workers. He himself isn't saying these things to get pay. He doesn't do it for pay, but because he is compelled to do it. He says this because he doesn't want people to think they have to pay him back. He is doing it for free. What a wonderful way to offer the gospel. freely give with no demand of payment from the people. God offered it to us for free. hopefully we can always serve people with the same attitude. not getting frustrated over their lack of recognition or lack of thanks. they should do these things, but we shouldn't necessarily seek them. we'll get reward enough in heaven. thanks.
