Luke 2:41-52

This passage is a rare look at Jesus in his childhood. It's odd that it gets thrown in here. I wonder if that meant that lots of his childhood life was uneventful except for this or if this was just to mark out one of many things. Maybe this moment was for his parents to remind them of who he was. His parents must've been at their wits end searching for their boy. Any parent that has lost their child would panic and three days is a really long time. In this time Jesus amazes the people in the temple. Again this passage ends with the same line of Jesus growing in different ways. Just as we should be growing from birth till 12 in this way we should grow from 12 on in this way. It must've been a hectic few days for his parents, but I guess it taught them not to hold on to tight because one day Jesus would have a lot to do.
