Luke 2:1-21

In this passage a census causes people to go home and register to get counted. That is what caused Joseph to move from nazareth to Bethlehem. When they were in Bethlehem she gave birth to Jesus. A very humble beginning for God. God is surprisingly humble in many instances. An angel went to go tell some shepherds near by. I wonder what the point of this was. God chose such humble people to be the first trumpeters of Jesus. What a random day for some shepherds near by. God picks and chooses so seemingly randomly, but its good that they could be so obedient. I guess it was easy because of the crazy meeting they had with the angel. What an exciting day for them. Hopefully the sheep weren't neglected to much. All in all a very simple fanfare for God to come into the world with. Guess the thing to learn from this is to be humble as God was humble. He had a lot to boast about, but kept it simple. We wind up in so much chaos in life trying to get recognized. Just be humble. Things will work themselves out.
