-John fell in shock in the presence of Jesus. He tells John not to fear and describes who he is. He lists different attributes about himself. I'm not sure if this is supposed to comfort John. He is then commanded to write what is about to happen to the seven churches.
-From this passage I can learn that God is gracious and kind. In the presence of Jesus john could've died, but Jesus is kind to him. Jesus is also concerned about the church. He has a message to write to them. It would be wise to listen.
