It's a bit tougher blogging from the phone, but we'll give it a try.
Israel tried so hard to get something that wasn't to be obtained by works. We do the same so many times. Even in how we deal with our own sins or shortcomings we try to work our own way to righteousness. Faith is what it is, and it is in whom it is. Were lucky to have a God who chooses us like he does. Who can understand it? Best to just accept his grace as is.
The sinful man, God hardens them, but this is their choice anyways. It's unfortunate that sin is what it is, but we have to live within the laws of the universe. The punishment for these are harsh.
