15Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Many followed him, and he healed all their sick,
-Jesus was practical in leaving the area. In reality he didn't have to, but he did because it was the wise thing to do.
-Of course people would follow seeking healing. He responded to all of them by taking care of their sick. This must've been a draining day.
16warning them not to tell who he was.
-This seemed pretty common of Jesus to do. Kind of a weird habit, but maybe he was so swamped with people anyways that more news of him would be crazy.
17This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
-Everything has to do with prophecy. Prophecy proves who he was.
18"Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on him,and he will proclaim justice to the nations.
-Similar to what John the baptist said of Jesus. There is great approval from God about him.
-Jesus will be empowered by the spirit, and his job will be to tell the nations about justice.
-The justice he told them about was himself.
19He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the streets.
-Jesus didn't complain about his suffering.
20A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out,
till he leads justice to victory.
-Jesus was beatin but not taken down.
21In his name the nations will put their hope."
-There is nobody to put their hope in besides him.
-Jesus had a lot of work to do. We also have much work prepared in advance for us to do. We need to be faithful to doing it. Even though its exhausting and tiring.
