Friday, Feb 6- Matthew 9:35-38

35Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.
-Jesus was super busy. Teaching, preaching, and healing is a lot of work. He must've had many people listening because of his healing ministry. We can use our talents and skills to server others as well. This will give us more opportunity to preach the gospel.

36When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
-This is one way Jesus was able to help so many. He had compassion. Do we have compassion on the neglected or marginalized people of the world? Do we even care at all? If not we need to pray that we care more.

37Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.
-This is the call to the disciples and to us that we need to get working. There's no lack of work for us.

38Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
-We need to pray to God for more workers. We don't pray enough for stuff like this. We need to pray more for the lost. We have the privilege to send and to serve the lost, so we should go.
