-Today we did a Bible study on words and work. It was kind of not what I expected because the title of the study was wisdom and profession. It talked a lot from proverbs about wisdom and words. It's kinda funny because so much of the proverbs seem like such common sense, but somehow we fail to keep the simplest of suggestions. If we held to the proverbs wisely we'd avoid sooooo many problems in life. I dunno why people love sin so much.
-The Bible study then changed pace and talked a bit about how we work. The main motivation of our work should be to please God and not men. Even slaves were told to work hard for the Lord and obey their masters. Guess that type of attitude can make even the most mundane work environments meaningful. Even though work may just be plain, if we do it for God it makes it that much more meaningful.
-So the main theme of the Bible study was words and action. Making sure that these two things really walk hand in hand. It's a life time of a challenge, but with God's help we can do it.
