Thursday, June 25- Romans 12:4-8

4Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
-This says a lot of things in a very simple way. For some reason people spend a lot of time wanting to be other people. I suppose this can be good if they are striving for good characteristics. But sometimes its just important to realize that God made you who you are and we should make the most of that.

6We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith.
-Just like some are tall and some are small, we each have different gifts as well. Its important to recognize what are gifts are, and then use them. Just like coaches would scout an NBA players talents, we need to scout our talents and then use them for the best of the team.

7If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; 8if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
-Examples of gifts that people may have. I like this list a lot because they are gifts, but they are every day things that people may not think of as a real gift. Some times people over spiritualize gifts, but it can be as simple as giving. Whatever it is, use it for the best for God.
