1] Herod was the current king
-Magi from the east (chinaish?) came to visit
2] They asked where the new king was. This is usually bad to ask a king where the king is.
-Reason magi came was because of a star. Who knows why a star set them off to start a long journey to find a king? More research could be done on this.
3] Herod was disturbed obviously. Jerusalem was disturbed as well cause if the king is unhappy it’ll make the whole country unhappy.
4] Herod wants more info on where the new “king” was.
5] They reply Bethlehem because of prophecy. How often do we hold so strongly to prophecy? We should study it more because it gives definite answers.
7] More investigation by Herod.
8] Herod lies to find info on the new king.
9] Amazingly this star was a moving star and they followed it to where Jesus was.
10] Joy is the initial reaction of the magi. I wonder what the motivation of the magi was. Did they know he would be the savior of the world?
11] More initial reaction was of worship. Gifts were given to the new king.
12] After the worship and gifts were given their jobs were done and they returned to their own country. Such an odd little vacation by the magi.
