Hebrews 7:23-28

This passage describes why Jesus makes the perfect preist. The fact that he lives forever makes his role that much better. He can continue on in his duty till his people reach salvation. He also doesn't have to sacrifice for himself since he is perfect. Jesus isn't one appointed in sinfulness, but he was appointed in his perfection. It's good to have a preist perfect as Jesus is. When we can really think about who he is and what he's done it's amazing. We should turn to him with confidence that he can bring us to salvation. We need to step back and really think about how great God is. It's not a small thing that he did.
