Hebrews 3:7-13

In this passage the Holy Spirit teaches us something. That is not to harden our hearts if we hear God. That is a distinct option that we have in response to God's word. The Israelites did that when they were in the desert. Their history is a warning to us of what could come. God was very angry with them because they persisted in their hardness. We could end up before God very similarly. This turning from sin is a group task and not just an individual one. We are to encourage each other to do this. This is a group goal. We need each others help. None can do it alone.
