8Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.
-Love is a debt that we owe. To who do we owe it to? I suppose we owe it to God for how he has loved us. This debt will never be done with. It's an interesting debt. The only kind that is good if it grows. Well not good if it grows from not doing anything about it.
9The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
-Loving our neighbor is so powerful because it takes care of all these other reckless sins. So simple and so easy and so hard.
10Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
-So many things we do harm our neighbors. It's kind of weird that human nature is so content with hurting each other. Love is a wonderful alternative.
-The law has a purpose. Love fulfills that purpose. Kind of amazing to think about all the constitution summing up into this. Guess I'll do my best.
