Chapter 4
-I didn't like this chapter much cause I don't think I quite got it. Oh well. I suppose psychoanalysis was a bigger deal back when this book was written. It seems that psychoanalysis deals with the feelings created when making choices, and morality deals with the choice itself more.

Chapter 5
-This chapter had some interesting topics. Just the other day Wes asked me what I thought was to short for girls shorts. hehe. But the beginning of the chapter sorta goes into this a little bit. Modesty is an interesting thing because it is effected so much by time and place. But I like how Lewis breaks up the offending person into either being an offender of chastity or an offender of bad manners.
-In some ways its difficult to deal with because there will be some old fashioned ways and newer ways. Ways of modesty will always conflict with each other. As it appears that society gets more and more carnal, it takes a bit of wisdom to lead the younger into more modesty without leading them into legalism.
-Comparing the food appetite and sexual appetite was a very neat way to compare and contrast the two. Regardless, sex seems as though it should be brought out into the open more and talked about instead of hidden away for people to figure out themselves. With sex being as much of a drive as it is, we should let that be our starting point and begin from there instead of treating it as something that we shouldn't be thinking about at all.
-"Before we can be cured we must want to be cured" This is always a difficult first step in any fleshly trap that we might find ourselves in. And like many traps that seem impossible to escape from, hope is such a wonderful thing.

Chapter 6
-The "one flesh" idea is very important. To have flesh torn apart or legs cut off when moving to divorce is the exact picture that needs to be in the minds of people. To many people think that its just a simple, clean, and neat solution to a worse problem, but divorce is worse than the problem that it intends to fix.
-love is not the whole thing. This is an important idea to stand by. Love is important, but so is commitment, and so is responsibility and other things.
-I like his idea of the thrill of love leading to other thrills as the relationship progresses.
-The idea of enforcing rules or laws on other people is a lot to think about. It's simple in idea to have two different types of marriages for a society, but it also isn't that simple. In some ways laws protect the morality of the country. Some morals are more universal than others. It's unfortunate that this moral of marriage is so messy.
-His last illustration of the dog biting the child...hehe.
