Exodus 14

This is the popular passage of the Israelites crossing the Red Sea. This passage has a lot of tensions in it. For one Israel is upset that they are in the desert and about to die. Second Moses is crying out to God for deliverance even though he just promised it to the people from God. Third is the flip flopping mind of the Pharaoh and the Egyptian people. In all this God is showing himself to Israel. We could learn this lesson as well in the trials and difficulties that we face. We don't always get a miraculous victory as this story does, but I think most of the time when we look in retrospect we can see God is doing good. Not always good that makes us feel good or benefits us, but that helps us grow or depend on God more. He can pull the strings so that even though we have to go through difficulties we are the better for it. Not better in our selves, but better in worshiping and trusting God. We need to trust God in tough circumstances for better or worse.
