Exodus 13

in this passage it talks about what happens as the Israelites leave Egypt and the religious rituals that were to go along with it so that the people would always remember this time. Remembering salvation is important. As Israel got to far away from it they forgot their identity. This is why it is also important for us to remember our salvation and what it means to us. If we forget the significance of it we can run the risk of losing the meaning or value of what Christ has done for us. Maybe I should set aside a day to remember and thank God almost like I celebrate my birthday. God had a very specific way for them to remember the events. I'll think about it more.
