Genesis 21:8-21
In this passage there is more tension between sarah and hagar. Sarah wishes that hagar and her son be sent away. This caused distress to Abraham. God tells him it's okay. So hagar is sent away and she gets in a dire situation where she thinks she is going to die. An angel appears to her and tells her everything will be okay. She finds water, thanks to God, and everything is okay. This passage shows the continuing conflict that goes on in their household. All due to sin and bad decisions made in their past. They can't work things out and a split occurs. Even though he is Abraham chosen by God to be the father of a great nation, they still have relational problems. Life isn't easy no matter who you are. Gotta learn to work things out. Life would've been so much better if they could just learn to get along. God is good to his promises no matter who you are.
